  Gowthami Foundation contributed to aftermath of Tsunami by providing housing to the 128 families residing at coastal areas. The project was supported by Government of Andhra Pradesh and Habitat for Humanity Trust of India. The organization has constructed low cost housing with people’s participation from the beginning of the plan to construction of the house.In Prakasam District there is 110 Km long coastal line. The people who live in this coastal are coolies and mostly fishermen. Sometimes these people are victimized due to Tsunami and Cyclones. These people do not have pucca houses. With the financial assistance given by the government and with the assistance extended by the Habitat for Humanity Trust of India, Our GES has constructed 105 pucca houses for the poor people at Rajupalem and Motumala villages in Kothapatnam Mandal of Prakasam District. Such help is to be extended to 500 more people in the near future.
